Most commonly asked querstions
Files must be submitted in "PRESS-READY" format. Your files must conform to the following:
1. 300 dpi resolution
2. CMYK or Grayscale
3. JPG's ONLY

Files submitted that are NOT Press ready, will received a FREE technical review. If problems arise, we will be happy to do our best to correct them at no charge to you or explain in detail what you should do to correct them.

Q:Can 4ColorInk.com scan my artwork? A:Yes we can. You can mail us any document/photo and we will scan it for a small charge of $25. Please be aware of all copyright infringements. Anything we scan must be YOUR property.

Q:Can 4ColorInk.com adjust my artwork? A:Yes! We have a professional and courteous design team that is eager to help. Charges may apply if the requests will take more then a hour of work. Actual charge will be determined at time of request.

Q:Does 4ColoInk.com print in RGB color mode? A: Unfortunately we DO NO. Your must convert your files to CMYK before you submit or our website will not allow you to upload. Reason for this is because if our staff converts it there maybe a color change, and we feel more comfortable if you see that change before you submit, so that you can make necessary changes before you print.

Q: Can I purchase a hard copy proof? A: Absolutely! If you are color critical and want to be sure what your image will look like once printer, you can order a hard copy proof and we will mail it to you next day.

Q:Is what I see on my screen going to be the colors I receive? A: NO! It is impossible to know how your screen is calibrated. Therefore we cannot say that what you see is what you will get. This is the reason we offer hard copy proofs for color critical clients.

Q:Do I make my file exact size I want? A:NO! If you are submitting a job and expect to receive a final product that is a 4x6. You MUST at an 1/8 of an inch bleed. Please download a free template so that you have a quick and easy time ordering. This will insure that your order will be submitted correct and will avoid and delays or extra charges to adjust your files.

Q:What paper stocks do you offer? A: All our main postcard gang runs are on 12pt high gloss or aqueous coated paper. Our brochures and posters are printed on 100lbs text paper. We also offer recycled paper. Click here for more info on Green Printing.

Q: Is the price is see the actual price? A: YES! So long as your files are print ready. We do not have any hiding charges. If your quote says $225. That’s what you will pay for printing. PERIOD!

Q: When will my order be shipped? A: 4ColorInk.com offers the following shipping options via UPS: •UPS Next Day Air Saver (delivery by the end of the next business day) •UPS 2nd Day Air (delivery by the end of the 2nd business day) • UPS Ground (days in transit depend on delivery zip code)
